Here is mine, and hopefully it will soon be joined by the Millennium Falcon.
Also, I don't know where my Snake Eyes GI Joe or Raphael Turtle is anymore :P

Holy crap, that's amazing.

I always wanted the LEGO Monorail as a kid.

I blame not getting one for how I turned into a bad apple... that and not getting a Teddy Ruxpin.

Ah the days spent drooling over the lego pictures in magazines :P
I remember there were two in particular that I wanted very badly. One was the, uhm barracuda pirate ship I believe, and the other was some sort of space juggernaught type thing with massive weels. It was also part of some space series with a black and red (and perhaps neon green) theme as opposed to the white and blue theme of your link. Think I'll go through the lego archives sometime and try to find it.

I didn't heed your warning and opened it in the library.
When I was a kid: http://www.oafe.net/yo/art/voltron01.jpg
Thank you!
BTW I just noticed that in Matewis' pic Chewie appears to have beheaded the Walker driver; I don't remember that scene in the movie. :P

As did I, never got it though. I finally did get a 9-volt train set, and a few extra track pieces for it.

Guess this explains why I have no criminal record, it must be the LEGO monorail! My older brother and I got this for Christmas in 1987 and I remember the day vividly. This was the most badass present we ever got, and there's so much one could do with it. I was especially in love with the big blue glass dome parts, back in those days special LEGO parts like that were still rare and of great value if you wanted to build something out of the ordinary. But enough 'rubbing it in', I'm sorry you didn't get this but you can always buy something like this set for your own kids, unless you want them to be bad apples, too? :)

I did eventually get some cool LEGO toys, I had Monarch Castle, the first BIG pirate ship, and the Tehcnics Car & Jeep

Yes those blue windows were very cool. I think the unique pieces were a major selling point to those LEGO sets. I would flip through the Sears catalog for hours fantasizing about having the different toys in there, especially the Monorail... speaking of fantasizing, I also couldn't help but notice the lingerie section of the catalog, I blame those Sears catalogs for turning me into a pervert at such a young age!

Did you see the Lego link (that sounds funny) I posted earlier today of famous olf game still done with Lego?

Also because of this conversation I think I may need to reinstall my Lego Star Wars and Lego Indiana Jones cds. :P
