Homo ex machina.

Primordia, a post-apocalyptic classic 2D adventure from the publisher of Resonance and Blackwell Bundle, is available for pre-order right now 20% off for $7.99. Pre-order and download the playable preview of the game two weeks before the release!

Mankind is no more. There is only the Book of Man, which Horatio studies patiently every day. Horatio Nullbuilt version 5 studies the Book of Man the Creator when he's not fixing the UNNIC ship. Or is not sparring with his robot friend Crispin Horatiobuilt, which Horatio built. Or when he's attacked and deprived of the ship's power core. Especially then. Horatio will set on a journey through the desert wasteland and beyond to find the missing part and to find a little bit more about himself, his creators, and the humanless robo-world Primordia.

You know what to expect from Primordia if you're familiar with other adventures from Wadjet Eye Games--wonderfully pixelated graphics, challenging puzzles, excellent voice-acting (Logan Cunningham of Bastion fame voicing the main character), soundtrack, and, what's most important, the spirit of classic point-and-clicks made in the early '90s. Primordia takes a little from Machinarium (robot hero and robo-world) and Beneath a Steel Sky (cyberpunk and a sarcastic robo-sidekick) but adds its own religion and mythology, that are brilliant to discover.

Pick up Primordia right now for only $7.99 and get access to all the available goodies including soundtrack, artworks, wallpapers, and playable preview of the game. Primordia will be released on the 5th of December 2012.

Free demo available.

(It ends on an earlier cliffhanger than the one on GOG.)

Don't forget to VOTE on Steam Greenlight. Even if you don't use Steam, more sales for a great game -> more great games.

I can only second this. IIRC the best fifty at the end of Nov 30 will be greenlit and Primordia is currently number 59ish.
It ends earlier then the GOG demo? I must play it to see where (or I just want to play it again)

Do you know whether the demo save file will work with the full release?
Because in Resonance I had to replay the beginning (not necessarily a bad thing!)

Do so. While you're at that, try asking for hints even if you know what to do (especially if the action is obvious, like "choosing the next dialogue option"). There's a lot of "shadow content".

No, it won't. If you bought it on GOG, you'll get a save, as with Resonance. Not sure about the WEG demo.

However - in Resonance, it didn't matter what you did "in the past". (That was kind of the point; the game only offers you a choice after the opening scene happens in-game.)

In Primordia, it does matter. Dave will probably provide ONE save with the best solution of a particular puzzle, and getting the reward without solving the puzzle will make no sense and ruin the game for you. So, honestly, if you don't replay, you'll be doing yourself a disservice.

(On a related note, don't play with commentaries until you've won the game at least once. There are some thermonuclear spoilers in the first scenes' comments.)

Actually, it was a gift from you. Thanks again.

As usual Starmaker seems to have more inside information about WEG games even from Dave Gilbert himself.
Keep up the good work.

To clarify (and to bump the thread for the awakening US posters), it's "at least 10 game titles" and "at least 5 Software titles". The top google hit, Joystiq, says 5 games and 5 Software, but that's because they fail at reading comprehension.
