I'm sorry if this is the wrong section, but I am having some trouble with the forum.
For some reason, the forum won't let me post at times.
It usually happens when I try to quote someone, write a long message or post a link to a site like youtube.
Am I doing something wrong?

I have this problem when I use the work PC which still has IE7.

How does it prevent you posting? Is it allowing the post then not actually posting the message, or refusing to let you post?

Do you have a slow internet connection? That usually causes problems.

Ah, now I can quote. I couldn't earlier.
And what would happen is that I would type my message, press the post my message button, and nothing would happen.

Ah, now I can quote. I couldn't earlier.
And what would happen is that I would type my message, press the post my message button, and nothing would happen.
If your post had incorrect formatting in the quotes it would stop you. If like me you have a nice alerts plugin then you may not notice the prompt.

How do you post youtube links then? I tried one just now to experiment, and it still didn't work. Is it some sort of anti-spam measure? If so, then how are people adding links?

You just copy/paste the link in the post.

There have been some anti-spam measures recently introduced. How are you attempting to insert the links? have a trial with plain text url and see.

I'm just copy pasting from the adress bar like I usually do. Or are you not allowed to copy paste?

Possibly the new controls have implemented a much called for feature that new members can't link out until they reach a certain rep. I tried the hyperlink, and it still doesn't work. It might be rep based after all.
