timppu: Now I'm thinking whether I should finally get God of War 1-2 for my PS2. They always seemed to get high praise everywhere, but I was always unsure if I really care about the gameplay (which I presume is mostly some kind of slash'em'up with combos, and even QTEs? Not my cup of tea really.)
I felt the same, slashers are not my kinda games, but in the end I really enjoyed both gow games. the first third of the sequel actually blew my mind, it's very very.. epic o_o
What many people don't mention is that gow games are not pure slashers - a lot of the time you will be spending solving environmental and other kinds of puzzles and puzzles during fighting as well.
Forgot to mention that one myself. Best platformer on the system, by far.

Works in its favour that it's actually a platformer and not a shooter or GTA-style game that happens to have furry characters.
God's Hand

And only God's Hand

(Shadow Hearts maybe)

Maybe so, considering I like Carmageddon 1-2 quite a lot as well, even though one could say their setting is quite juvenile too. Maybe the games can be great _despite_ the setting. 9€ for shrink-wrapped versions of each does not sound bad to me, even if I'm unsure.
