I bought (pre-purchase) Age of Wonders on the belief I would receive the benefit of vouchers for regional pricing. That's what the GoG articles were saying as far as I could tell.

I never received those vouchers and on support from GoG I am not entitled to any because I paid the "original price"

Have any of you had this issue? Was Age of Wonders regionally priced or not? What exactly qualifies me for those vouchers apart obviously from being in a region that such pricing applies to?

It certainly was regionally priced but I don't really know if it still is or not. If you pre-purchased the game then you are certainly entitled to the vouchers that make up the difference, how much exactly did you pay in USD? Also who told you in support that you are not eligible for the vouchers. I am sure that the support will sort this out for you if there is a case of you not receiving any vouchers despite paying a higher price. It's not regionally-priced in Australia:

Thanks for the replies, especially thanks cich, that pretty much clarifies that. I checked and paid the same as the US. Quite unusual.

No, nothing unusual about it. If you paid the same as the US then that's why you didn't get the codes. The codes were to make up for the difference relative to the US price, which affects us here in Europe.

The fact that Russia and much of Eastern Europe gets a significantly reduced price is another matter altogether (and one I think is a fucking disgrace to be honest - if they can afford to charge that there, they can afford to charge it here - no two ways about it. It's price gouging in every sense of the word).

I think his point is that it's unusual there's no famous "Australian tax" in this case :)

Only in the digital world, sigh. I see it as every one not paying the lowest price as overpaying.
Shouldn't the "fair price" be equal to the lowest price? Shouldn't everyone besides the lowest priced get a voucher?

Way to generalize entire populations. (I'm definately in the poverty bracket, yet I still support the video game industry with all I can)
