A dungeon-crawling adventure to last a lifetime (served in 10-minute chunks)!

Desktop Dungeons, a coffee-break turn-based dungeon crawler with tons of varied content, comedic style, and insanely high replayability, is available for Windows and Mac OS X, 33% off on GOG.com. That's only $9.99 for the first week. Also available, Goatperson DLC, adding an extra character class and the hunger factor to the game, for only $3.32 (that's 33% off for the first week).

Here's the perfect coffee-break game: fight your way through fantasy dungeons in as little as 10 minutes. You'll never play the same location twice. Each dungeon is randomly generated, yet always (somehow) winnable. Explore the finely-tuned gameplay as you learn more and more impressive ways to beat vicious bosses and unlock new items, gods and heroes to play. This is the classic roguelike play re-imagined as a unique award-winning single-screen puzzle adventure!

Desktop Dungeons is a quick-play, roguelike-like puzzle game that gives you 10-20 minutes of dungeon-crawling action per serving. Casual players can enjoy endless coffee-break gaming sessions in infinitely random dungeons, while hardcore enthusiasts can unearth the game’s subtleties and tackle challenges of unrealistic viciousness. Down all paths lies frequent death, easy accessibility and the urge to play just one more dungeon. The Goatperson DLC adds a new playable class to Desktop Dungeons' already large roster of characters. The use of this character introduces one of the classic roguelike problems: hunger! It also enables a useful Item Lottery for players with more gold than sense, as well as a series of unique Triple Quests that pit players against three randomly generated dungeons in a row.

Both Desktop Dungeons and the Goatperson DLC are available 33% off (that's $9.99 and $3.32 respectively) on GOG.com, until Tuesday, June 17, at 9:59AM GMT. Set out on an neverending adventure, today!

Notice
Desktop Dungeons has a completely optional cloud-saving system that's useful if you plan to play the same Kingdom on multiple machines, the browser version and mobile versions (coming soon).Your unique cloud-key can be found under My Account. In order to also enjoy the DLC features in your browser version, please use them first in your desktop version and save the game via the the cloud-saving system.
Nice release, wishlisted for now!
Nice addition to the catalogue, GOG!
Looks like a fun game
Seems like it could be good, though I prefer coffee-time games on my tablet. I do love me a roguelike though, so I could go either way on this one...
Now this game looked interesting. I played the free version about a year ago and it was fun! But this newer version still has local saving, right?
Looks nice and old school. I like that. :-)

Will wishlist for now.

I was so hoping for a gog release. I played a lot the freeware-version and also bought the game from the devs while it was in beta. As the development took so long and I'm not a fan to play games in my browser (that's how the beta-phase worked) I lost interest in it. A few months ago I was so happy to hear they are ready to go out of beta, but oh no, beside the web-based game you only got a steam-key as the developers said that they still need to heavily update the game and steam+browsergame was the easiest solution for them. As steam wasn't an option for me, especially for a coffeebreak game you quickly want to start and quit, I never redeemed my steam-key. Instead I hoped someday the game will come to gog and then I can redeem it there ;-) So let's check the developers webpage and forum, wish me luck.

Edit: Mmhh, there is a new-post about the gog-release, but no information if pre-orderer can redeem a gog key :-/ It seems I need to contact the developers.

Day 0 DLC?

It seems like a very minor content upgrade, more like a patch.....
Looks interesting, how's the difficulty for casual players?
I wondering when GOG will release the Linux versions of the games. I think some people already forgot that Linux versions were promised some time ago. This game also has one.
When GOG promised the Linux versions I made a promise to let my beard grow until they are here. Now I'm looking like this: http://www.pitt.edu/~pdh11/menu%20bar%20links/anything%20photos/beard3.jpg

For those who pre-ordered the game via QCF Design, do we get a key to redeem the GOG version?

It wasn't mentioned in the news post, so we need to ask the developers. I tried to reply the news on the QFC-webpage, but as I wasn't registered as forum-user before my posting will not show up before it's checked. If you have a valid forum account, it would be nice if you could also ask the developers there. I guess that's the fastest and easiest way to get an answer for now ;-)

The steam version has no drm, so if you have a steam account you can download it and play without steam.

Potzato: Nice ! I really spent a lot of time on the old free version (I very certainly still have it), but I wonder how different this version is ? Apart the visual aspect and the additional content I mean.
A lot of work went into balancing, it has a lot more content and depth, the gameplay is pretty much the same but it has become better in every aspect.

If you liked the alpha, definitely buy the full game!

Ah, that's new to me. Thanks for the info. But as I really don't use steam it would be more comfortable regarding updates to have it here on gog, especially I if I want to get someday also the DLCs. But that information is still very helpful, especially if there is no chance to get a gog-key, so thanks ;-)

Edit: I see you asked about a possible gog-key on the QFC-webpage, big thanks for doing this.
