The cheesiest game you'll ever get addicted to!

MouseCraft, a sleek-looking fun puzzle game that's a lovechild of Tetris and Lemmings with a weird science theme, is available 20% off for Windows and Mac OS X, DRM-Free on GOG.com. That's only $11.99 for the first week!

Science! It makes the world move forward. And the cutting edge of science often operates on the verge of madness. Its the crazy people and their fantastic ideas contribute the most to civilization's progress. Here is a story of such a mad scientist and his revolutionary idea that could lead to ending the global energy crisis. Forget fossil fuels! Mouse-powered devices are the future. Sounds crazy? Well, you need to know that the person behind this concept is a Cat Scientist by the name of Schrödinger. Now, everything falls perfectly into place, just like well-handled tetris blocks!

MouseCraft answers the not-so-trivial question: what a cross between Tetris and Lemmings would look like? It's an A to B puzzle game where players help mice in their relentless quest for cheese by stacking the world's most famous blocks: Tetrominos. Starring: Mad Cat Scientist, Three Blind Mice and tons of irresistibly delicious Cheese. What we have here is a remix of two classic gameplay mechanics: pile up Tetromino bricks to create a safe path for as many mice as possible. With 80 increasingly challenging levels to beat, lots of block types to discover, and adorable animations to behold, this refreshing puzzle title will keep you entertained for hours!

If you're missing the times when puzzle games were big on the PC, and you'd love to see one bringing some neat gameplay concepts along with great-looking graphics, make sure not to miss MouseCraft, for only $11.99 on GOG.com. The 20% off special release discount offer lasts until Tuesday, July 15, at 1:59AM GMT.

Nirth: Is this like some kind of modern lemmings with crafting abilities?
Looks like it.
This looks way fun! But as I am the worst Tetris player in the Multiverse I will wait on it for a while.

IAmSinistar: The devs wrote this back in regards to my question about getting a GOG key:

Unfortunately GOG changed their policy and they don't provide keys if the game is already available on Steam.

Can a bluetext confirm this is the case? I thought devs always got keys to provide to early buyers if they wanted them.

Logic is simple - the game was not bought on gog.com and it means giving away a free key from gogs side which is a loss of sales for them. Why should they give a key for a game that was payed for on Steam and activated there? Its really unreasonable to expect free keys from gog in this case. On the other side the developer did not offer gog keys in the beta.

If people get a free key, they may end up purchasing other GOG games here. I believe it could also help show people that GOG really is coming up or working on reaching Steam's "level", and is a respectable competitor/alt to Steam.

I can understand the logic now, but I'm not sure this is the best way for GOG to go about it, unless they are worried financially (which I have a hard time believing).

I didn't buy the game on Steam, bought the early version directly from the devs. They promised a key for the final as part of that purchase. GOG provides keys to devs in situations like this, or at least they did until now, if what the dev said is accurate.

You know I looked up the beta site for this game there and talk was only about desura and steam keys in the preorder. If they promised you something else then what was in the preorder offer on their site (desura, steam key, music pack) then you should bug them not gog. It seems to me developers promised things without including gog in to the process. This is the outcome. Not saying that this won't be be resolved in your favor at the end.

I did contact them, not GOG. And if they don't offer a GOG key, then I'll take a Desura one. But I would prefer a GOG key, which is why I contacted them. Their response is what got me curious and resulting in asking for bluetext clarification, because I know that GOG traditionally has given keys to devs in this situation. Apparently this has now changed.

Clear enough?

Looks like a misunderstanding between us and the devs. There was no policy change - that's how we usually approach such things. We do offer devs the option to let their early buyers choose their final game platform. It was no different in this case: we offered to provide GOG.com keys, as long as the users would get a choice between the GOG.com and Steam version of the game. Alas, no such choice was made possible and all of the early buyers received Steam keys.

Only one way to go about it now, since GOG.com users got the short side of the stick in this deal: we'll provide Crunching Koalas with GOG.com keys for MouseCraft and everyone who still wants to get their GOG.com version will be able to contact them about it. Sounds good? :-)

Sounds awesome Dr. Groovy, much appreciated! :)
Yay, 2 games made by Polish studios today!

Have you already seen GOG Dev Talk? Interesting concept :)
Damn, you guys are awesome, can't say it often enough! =D

I was expecting something like Minecraft but instead this... :(
It would appear that devs are so trained to hand out Steam keys, that they operate on autopilot, i.e. they don't handle offering choices to their early supporters too well.

We probably need to use every opportunity and actively raise awareness to our preference and the merits of GOG. :-)

As for the game released, admit to never have heard of it before, but then I never was much of a fan of Tetris or Lemmings.
