Mask of the Betrayer, Storm of Zehir, and Mysteries of Westgate expansions included!

Neverwinter Nights 2: Complete, the ultimate edition of Obsidian's RPG set in the all time favorite Dungeons & Dragons setting, the Forgotten Realms, is now available 25% off on GOG.com. That's $14.99, this week only.

Ah, Forgotten Realms, after all the days we've spent treading your paths, you seem like home. Whenever the world around us seems oppressive and dark, whenever life gets us down--our mind escapes to your green fields, your rocky mountains, your lush forests. We cherish the memories of our bold ventures into your deep undergrounds, filled with dangerous beasts and traps, yet luring us with promise of great riches and unsurpassed power. We still tremble at the thought of the vengeful gods and goddesses that toy with the fates of your inhabitants, and the perplexing magic that fills you to the brim. We fondly remember the long evenings spent in the warmth and security of your many taverns and inns, where a single conversation could usher us into a new quest. Now comes the time to visit you once more.

Neverwinter Nights 2: Complete revisits many of the iconic locations known from previous D&D computer RPGs, and adds even more--all in a beautifully rendered environment. The game has been praised for faithfully executing the D&D 3.5 ruleset, delivering a captivating story and vivid characters, and vastly improving the visuals in comparison to its predecessor. With four full campaigns and adventure sets to embark upon, a set of tools to create your own adventures, and fully patched and ready to go, this is the version you just can't afford to miss!

Can you hear it now? Can you hear the rattling of D20 dice rolling? That's the sound of adventure! Tag along, get Neverwinter Nights 2: Complete, for only $14.99 until Thursday, January 31, at 10:59AM GMT.

mystral: Actually considering that Hasbro own the D&D rights, they would probably have to be consulted before releasing ANY D&D games, even those they had nothing to do with.
Sure, but they don't own Dark Sun or Eye of the Beholder series. These games would be already here, if they did.
WOW!!! I can't believe it!!
Thank you so much!

And a new avatar for me. :)
Definitely my favourite part from the entire beautiful NWN2 soundtrack. :)
Whoa! I almost did a "spit take" when I read the headline :-)

Nice "get" GOG! Instabuy
What's the difference between NWN2 and Dragon Age ?

Am asking for real. I've started both, long ago, and now I've completely blurred them and merged them in my memories, plot-wise, gameplay-wise, style and atmosphere, everything. Do you people tell them apart ? On what aspects ?

I really don't have this issue with any other cRPG (I have very clear and distinct memories of NMN1, TOEE, TES, Gothic, etc). Is there a reason specific to NWN2 and DA, for this ?

No Mac version? Ah well, it runs very well in Wine anyway, that's how I played through the whole campaign, so I can live with it.

Yep, it's a wonderful theme that just says: "high adventure"! :)
Nice release. I wish it was released here back with the other Forgotten Realms games - now I've already got it on GamersGate :/

Just a question while downloading ...
Not to sound stupid or anything BUT what are the three serial numbers for ?
Are they for game activation or Multiplayer ?
And I assume you put one in at the start of the game (or click the multiplayer) and put the other two in when you open the expansions (or click their multiplayer) ....
Just asking while the game is downloading ....

eh ...
Nevermind :)
Thank You

Well, Dragon Age is by Bioware, NWN 2 is by Obsidian. That mostly means DA is pretty generic with the usual Bioware story elements. It's enjoyable, but don't expect anything great.

By contrast NWN 2 is more ambitious, but unfortunately, MotB is imo the only where those ambitions are realized. In other words, The NWN 2 OC is pretty bad, MotB is great, Storm of Zehir is good if you like older RPGs, but flawed, and Mysteries of Wesgate is decent but flawed.
"Flawed" is unfortunately a word that comes to mind very often when it comes to Obsidian.
Cool surprise, wishlisted for now though.

Assuming it works like it did for NWN1, some (all?) of the servers may require the clients to use a unique cd-key to be able to connect and play. You can ignore the cd-keys and play single player to your heart's content, but for multiplayer you'll need your unique cd-key.

Thanks mate, but those are patches for the various language versions from the game, not translation packs. There are bugfixes but no voiceovers etc. included. ;)
