I'm a bit unsure about the whole situation. The reason for this post is that I'm trying to determine who actually owns the rights to Imperium Galactica series.
I have both first and second, but the second's cd was badly stratched and I can't install it :( So I decided to try and contact the owner of the brand to persuade them to release it on gog.com so I can download it legit, but the problem is, who is the owner?
I looked at Digital Reality, and it looks like they're still going. They even have Imperium Galactica 1 and 2 listed, but not for sale. However, the publisher was GT Interactive Software. I did research into them and it was bought out by Infogrames, which later became Atari. So which one have the "publishing" rights for IG series? Didn't Atari already sell some of its older games (Master of Orion series, among other games) on gog? If so, does that mean that Digital Reality still own the games, and Atari can't sell them on gog.com?
