According to this post, Rise of Nations Gold and Rise of Legends Gold are going digital on Amazon. Hopefully, other stores, GOG included, will follow suit:

Great news, just got off an AWESOME call with Rhode Island, looks like they are going to work on getting us Steam keys for Amalur as well as the gold masters for Rise of Nations and Rise of Legends.

No timeline yet and we're still waiting on the paperwork to come through, but definitely movement in the right direction.

I wonder if this means the update servers for the retail version of Rise Of Legends will come back online?

I noticed this because the other day I looked for my CD of Rise of Legends and noticed I don't have it anymore. I guess it got lost in one of my moves. When I tried to find a digital version of the game available to purchase, I came up with nothing. Same for Rise of Nations. I thought this news was relevant because it marks the first time the gold version of these games is available for purchase in a long time. Or am I wrong and they are available somewhere else?
