Really depends on what services the OS offers. For windows the network sharing might work, hopefully offers encrypted wireless protocols (You probably want something over nothing, even if it's like a password of '666' since it would keep random passerbys from just logging in and downloading porn).

I haven't done much for using my computer as a router, wireless or otherwise... so I don't know :( I'd recommend using a hub, but that doesn't mean the modem will give both systems access at the same time and one would have to feed into the other... Reminds me I've used a proxy server before having one computer acting as a connection and the others to access the internet. Not as good as a router or gateway but it did the job...

There is a software you can try to do just that very easily, it called Connectify Hotspot which is not free but there is a trial version to test if it works for you. I tried on my Dad's laptop with Windows 7 Starter Edition and it worked perfectly.

Try setting up an Ad-Hoc Network. Under Windows 7: Control Panel->Network and Sharing Center->setup a new connection->setup a wireless ad-hoc (towards the bottom of the list).

Not sure if a PS3 can use ad-hoc networks.

Yeah I will end up buying another router anyway. But was just searching for ways for a temporary fix until I get it.
