I thought it was pretty good. Very addictive, and a quite faithful sequel. Better than some of New World's own HOMM-games.

Never tried it but it it features both graphical and game play improvements. It's referred to as an expansion pack that does not require the original but the games has all new levels. It's Called Death to Spies: The Moment of Truth

You've named the topic quite correctly — there will indeed be a Renaissance in computer gaming, but a global one. I and my colleague speak a lot about why this is bound to happen in an interview here, if you're interested:

This looks interesting. I've been waiting for a good World War One flight sim (been a long time since Sierra's Red Baron 3-D).

Not sure I like the idea of additional planes purchased through micro transactions though.

I loved King's Bounty! And it has an expansion pack coming soon : King's Bounty: The Armored Princess. Imagine...an expansion pack in THIS day and age??

In case you are an anti-DRM guy, I should tell you that Rise of Flight requires an online account (which is also tied to your forum account) you log in to to play.

ah yes, I was quite aware (but thanks!) I've subscribed to Steam for a while now. I just have to realize I can sell some games I've played through on eBay, and some I cannot.

In addition to the above, there is also Necrovision, which is supposed to be good, if you give it a chance. I found the lengthy loading times (even on the "quick"load) to be too off-putting though.
XIII Century: Blood of Europe is looking good though.

I liked Necrovision as basically the gaming version of a wonderfully awful horror movie.

Yeah, some of the actual game mechanics were pretty rough...but I was often laughing too hard to care. :)
