TheEnigmaticT: *or they can be like my buddy Josh who's had my copy of Freedom Force for ten years now. Not that I hold a grudge or anything. :P

lowyhong: I'm normally quite generous with my inventory, except games. When I get them back, they either come back damaged (box), scratched (disc), or they don't come back at all.

After losing my copy of Theme Park World and Pizza Tycoon to someone whom I can't even recall right now, I'm probably never ever going to lend out another game again.
I hear that. I lent my copy of simcity 2000 and I got it back all scratched up. I asked him how the hell this was possible. I lent him the game with case for safekeeping and furthermore simcity 2000 doesn't even require the disc to play.
I am warmed by proof that none of you forget a slight when it regards your precious, precious game CDs ever. Galimatias mocked me because I still hold a grudge over losing my copy of Freedom Force. :P

Someday, Josh. Someday...

My retail copies of both Sacrifice and Arcanum, along with several of my books, are currently in the possession of a friend I used to have, who since moved to the US. I doubt I'll see them again anytime soon :-(
I sort of feel that if you in the same householding it´s ok to share between the machines at home.

Who agrees?
I found gog, because of witcher 2. but.. I stay, because of the forum. Quite good people here and I have bought some good ol' games while I've been here.
Stonekeep looks horrible.. but any game you can without reading manual, throw rock in bugs face (perhaps also skull). All good. Still, I think I'm going to read the that manual.

Pfft. It's totally all about the animated puppets. ;) Though that inventory system: Ugh!
Please buy a second copy (or recommend she purchase one herself), so that, presumably, companies are more likely to agree to deals with GoG and allow their games to put up here. (They sort of frown upon losing money. ;)

Inventory seemed quite shait.. but they must have been a reason. And I played in nes.. was it shadow gate.. and I had to try that.. didn't cost me my soul.. only my spine.
Always wanted to play dungeon master but that is close. Brown walls and all. =P
I bought 2 copies of IL sturmovik. one for me, one for my friend. does he need to download the full 6GB over a slow internet connection, or can he install "my" copy. are they identical? or does each one have a unique id? I know it would work, and it would be ethical, just want it to be ok with GOG too......

watch out, a necromancer!

On the plus side, at least you searched before posting...

The installer is the same for everyone, you can use "your" copy with a clean conscience :)

Thanks. btw I see myself as more of an archer. with elven tendencies. one of the most painful characters to play unless you like running backwards a lot.

Hmm. I think that is okay for the installer. Because technically your friend already has the game right ? I know that difficulty in downloading the game over slow internet connection.
