Hi all i just purchased the simcity 4 gog release as my deluxe edition off the shelf copy had serious compatibility issues with windows 8.1
Since I am from New Zealand my previous regions and plugins folder backed up from my old laptop had been configured for LHD note: this is about 4gb worth of mods so many of which require LHD or RHD setup, NAM and transport stations for example.
I noticed in the GOG games sc4 deluxe folder that there is a language changer. I set it to English(UK) which is a LHD locale setup clicked save and quit then booted up simcity, to see if it had worked I went into a city built it up much to my dismay it was still RHD it looked so dumb seeing cars drive into the turning lane which a LHD car should be using.
I quit out loaded the language changer and it was still set to English( (US) ). So I put it on English(UK) and tried save and launch and nothing happened it just closed.
Now what I am wondering is if I change this in the registry editor (which is how you changed it on the original copy) or if there is a fundamental step I am missing in the language changer.
I know to some this may seem as a mediocre issue, But reinstalling nam and redrawing every single intersection in a region of 23 million sims (custom map) with over 10 large city tiles is not a fun prospect.
Any help most appreciated :)
CLOSED: LOLOL NVM I ran as administrator and it worked, Jeez i can be a dumbass some time.
