It's been a while (back in May?) since we've seen any more classics packaged up to run on OS X for Macs.

What's up with that? There are a ton of games here that should not be difficult to setup with Boxer and Wineskin. I don't understand why months go by with zero releases from the existing catalog.
Blue post would be nice. I know you guys read this forum.

Why no love for us Mac customers?
The DOS/SVM releases are weird, as afaik those are just a matter of using the OSX distribution of Dosbox/svm

We've been releasing Mac games regularly enough, but not making a specific big push behind them. A quick count shows that we've released 8 Mac games between 8 August and today so far. If you're looking for a big pack of classic Mac games like we've dropped before, there may be something coming in a month or two for you. ;)

Yeah, there is a lot that would be very simple to do which is why I don't understand a delay of months at a time with no releases from the existing catalog. They have a lot of great titles to sell to Mac users that should not take undue effort to package up so I don't understand why they aren't pursuing this revenue opportunity more vigorously.

Plus I don't feel like doing them all myself although I can and already have done some stuff because I didn't feel like waiting for them.

There are also many releases that work with minimal or no screwing around with Wine which is very easily used via the Wineskin app and this is all documented in the WineHQ AppDB database for anyone to view. So for example, it is a given that setting up Icewind Dale is painless. So why not do it?

Even the icons are free via Google. It is amazing the wide variety of beautiful icons people have put into the public domain via Deviant Art and elsewhere.

That is exactly what I am talking about - the treasures of the GOG catalog.

I should have pointed out that for the purposes of this comment I was speaking specifically of all the fantastic good old games we'd like to see. Stuff like the Might and Magic series, the Heroes of M&M series, the old sierra games, the Infinity engine games, etc. All that stuff and more is easily doable.

Actually, rereading my OP, I did point that out - I was talking about classics from the existing catalog.

I have to disagree with this. Now that I think of it, again speaking about classics - what happened with Legend of Kyrandia and the recent Wing Commander Academy releases? Why didn't those release also for Mac? It isn't like they are newer games that wouldn't work with Wine or something. So why not?

By the way, I am not meaning to be negative or a pain in the ass but if nobody voices any concern about this I could see you wondering if anybody cares about it. Well I do. I think as is often the case many users do but most don't even visit this forum.
