I for one will cut them some slack when they stop imprisoning punk rock bands for making fun of the government. Call me a stickler but I have a problem accepting that sort of behavior from a "free country".

Actually they were imprisoned for making fun of religion... which almost happened in Poland too. Some time ago a girl was sentenced for making (quite shitty) 'art instalation' with a picture of a penis sticked to an isosceles cross.

I'm not really fond of imprisonment for self expression either way but thank you for clarifying it, seriously; these are kind of delicate topics and if I'm going to be a smartass about it it behooves me to at least be accurate.

As for "quite shitty" that quite often seems to be the case. XD Like John Lydon said of the "2Live Crew" incident over here (and I'm paraphrasing) 'yes it was a crime what happened to them and no one has a right to tell them how to express themselves. That being said, it was crap.'

Don't forget what Russia is doing to people who aren't heterosexual... Even a Russian friend of mine is ashamed of being one.
