I'm 99% sure that in past steam sale Fallout: NV ultimate was -75%, in this one the best I saw is -66%, I'm imagining things?

Fallout: New Vegas Ultimate Edition's cheapest price on Steam was $4.99. So, nope, no imagining. And hence I'll wait for it. :)

Well, good to know I'm not going paranoid.
I should get Dead Money and Courier's Stash for FNV, since I already have Honest Hearts, Old World Blues, Lonesome Road, and Gun Runner's Arsenal.

Hmm, I should get 4 "big" DLC's, but... overall it's funny that for price of 4 DLC you could get 2x Fallout: NV, and they are -75%. :)

Also - Shadow Warrior is -80% in flash sale (did not see it on your list), good FPS action http://store.steampowered.com/app/233130/

and Space Hulk is -90%, though it is a bit of an.... acquired taste http://store.steampowered.com/app/242570/

Took Myst V, now I've only 10€ lft on my Steam wallet.
But the wonderful thing is, I purchased a lot of games without spending a single cents, using only credits from card selling.

I love Space Hulk!

Unfortunately, it is only the base game that is discounted.
All the DLC are still full price :(

tammerwhisk: Most the arguments are the "margins are too low to recoup fees" or something similar.
avatar
Pheace: That sounds like a bad excuse because Steam was exactly the reason they started being fine with offering DLC at low costs, because devs didn't have to swallow the transaction fees.

I doubt with all the Steam wallet use these days that suddenly became an issue now. It's just another tactic to get you to spend more money than you'd otherwise have to.
that sounds like too much thinking.

I'd like to know what fees those are. the imaginary Vavle $8 individual DLC fee.

The fees aren't imaginary, but yeah they are more for small DLC. Like under a dollar worth. Small transactions like that still incur a decent fee on top of that. It's partly why it was so bad to see humble bundles farmed for 1 cent, because those transactions actually *cost* humble money.

But yeah if it stays above $5 it shouldn't be much of an issue at al l.
Do the 2 hour long sales ever repeat? I missed the sale on TA:Kingdoms because my bank decided my purchases on this site were "suspicious" and locked my bank card. By the time I got off the phone with them and my account unlocked the sale was over.

Yes they repeat, TA:Kingdoms has been up six times during the sale so far, so it will likely be back a few more times before the 30th. See http://birdiesoft.dk/summersale.php for the flash sales as they've taken place so far.

However, I think you posted in the wrong thread, as this one is for the Steam summer sale. ;)

I was being sarcastic. :) I know there's fees, but there's no way that they're taking even a fairly sizable amount of their profit. If they can sell all the stuff together at a discount just fine, they can sell the rest at a discount without one piece. in skyrim's case, the thing that's "making back the losses" would be the thing that's already discounted the most outside of the pack. doesn't really make a lot of sense.

most indie games sell for well below $5 on sale. do they make no money thanks to all the fees? no, none of that makes a bunch of sense at all.

Rakuru: Usually IsThereAnyDeal.com is a pretty good place to check what different versions of a game are out there and which stores carry the game, as well as the lowest price that game has ever gone for (it only lists and tracks digital PC game downloads). I'm not familiar with that series, but I see an entry for "Anhk (Mac)" and "Bundle : Ankh Trilogy" when searching for "Ankh".
Thank you for the link, that's a nice website, i had never seen it before.

Thank you for the feedback. Unfortunately Gamefly has some really stupid IP blocks and i can't purchase Ankh from there. So, yeah, it looks like there is no way for me to acquire the first Ankh in its digital form. Guess i'll have to hunt down the physical copy on ebay. I'll see if i can get the DS version.
