need horror movie title asap

it happens in small town in usa. evil town... doesn't say much but it ends with book being written about stuff and it kills... later they say the will make movie about it. there was also an octopus monster who was a wife to skinny old man. saw that movie in 1996 or seven.

there was also that wooden bridge over small river. you can see that bridge in many movies.

thx for your help :) :)

also very drunk atm.
The book thing reminds me to "In the Mouth of Madness", last part of Carpenter's Apocalypse trilogy. But it's been a while since I saw that and I don't recall the other elements you describe.
Kinda.... sloppy details. There's only one movie I know of with murderous books and even that's only indirectly, Evil Dead and it's sequels.
Sounds like In the Mouth of Madness, as Psyringe said. Great film, I love it.
nah. it ain't evil dead. i think psyringe is right. you get 2 points in my next giveaway if you are right (if you particpate :) )
now i am off drinking and watching horror movies.

That's a good one too. Prince of Darkness is pretty good, if a little weird.

Good movie too.
Oddly enough, this thread has made me want to watch Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back. It's a weird link, todo with my first impression of what the film was.

Anyway, off to watch a monkey (well ape, or two or three)
