I've been watching this thread for days. My morning routine, as of late, would be to check the front page, and then check this thread to see if anyone had any new information. I was happy/thrilled to buy the GOG version this morning.

I'll have to head to work in a couple of hours, but I hope to finish the download and get a bit of playing time in before I head out.

I wont buy a product of a devoloper who shows me that i´m much less worth to him than a steamkid.

Edit: If they were afraid of piracy - like i read (maybe wrong, but maybe true) - then i´m feeling even more pissed. And many others too, i think. Calling us pirating cause we want no DRM is .... not discussable.
So everyone here is just here to buy games and then pirate them forward?

Maybe i´m just getting something wrong, but the behaviour i felt from them told me to let the game pass.

Anyone played it yet and noticed the decided lack of options??.No choice of resolutions (only full screen no full screen), music and sound fx on off. Pretty much it. The provided the ost folder with soundtrack in 320mp3...wonder if that was intentional?

Actually, buying the DRM-free copy shows them that DRM-free is an actually profitable endeavour, and encourages that kind of behavior in the future. I'm still on the fence about getting it though. I'm busy with Eschalon Book 2 since I heard that Book 3 comes out tomorrow.

Yeah, I've seen this several times with other games.

Not that the game needs many settings. Sure, it could be mildly interesting playing it in low resolutions while full-screen, but I quite doubt any reasonably recent computer (say, last five years) would need that.

I'm still waiting to hear back from the devs about their promise to give backers gog keys. They seem to be ignoring the forum and the backers comments.

Did they actually promise that?

they did mention they would distribute via GOG but not mention gogkeys specifically. It seems very strange they dont seem to respond or reply to querys or questions at all

That's how I read this paragraph:

A DRM-free version of the game is under development now and we are still working with GOG to distribute soon. This will also be available to all backers even if you downloaded a Steam copy.

The question was asked 3 days ago. Their communication with backers is poor.

I've seen that paragraph as well but I still think it can easily be read as them stating that the DRM-free copy will be available to backers as well even if you downloaded a Steam copy, which it is. Makes sense to ask the question at least though since it can be read differently.

I hope they will fill a case for bankruptcy . I hope gamers punish them . I hate them . What a horrible developer . I completely refuse to buy their shit .
