I saw Sonic Generations wasn't mentioned, I actually really enjoyed it, it's just mindless arcade platforming made good.
Besides that, theres Nifflas' Within a Deep Forest which is free, and lasts a couple of hours, it's simple and fun.
and while not really a fully fledged game, theres an amazing online remake of Jet Set Willy which is absolutely hillarious, with dozens of players running around 8bit maps, racing or playing tag. http://jsw.ovine.net/

What about Unmechanical? Anything compelling about it?

For the platform-lovers, Little Trus Man is on sale for $0.99 for the next 5 days at Daily Royale.
It looks like fun! A platformer with a tetris element and time reversal(?)
The new release, Beatbuddy, looks interesting. Anyone tried it yet?
