Not in (at least until GOG include Fan Patches into the digital bundle, as I already have an original CD),
but I was wondering, how much time does a birthday giveaway takes place?

Okay, today's winner is Wolfsrain! Congrats, and enjoy the games. I like those shoes (and that's also a damned nice looking bicycle, blotunga). Thanks again everyone for the entries.

GOG doesn't include fan patches, although they do sometimes post threads with suggested fan mods/patches/fixes for some of the games.

As for how long the giveaway lasts... until the gifts run out! :)

hummer010: I'll be in. I've not played these at all, and with Sachys talking about how fun they are and all.

We've actually got four vehicles.

My wife and I drive the car's (mines the Nissan). The GMC truck is pretty much parked until we need a truck. Where we live, a 4x4 truck is pretty much a requirement - especially if your daily driver is a Nissan shitbox. My beater / chore truck / restoration project is a '68 Jeep. It never sees road use ... yet. Someday, maybe.

Well I do hope they "cave in" at some point and provide fan patches to be available with the original, at least as an additional "goody" with no support whatsoever (as It's not their work). MOO2 has that 1.32 patch that is virtually impossible to find as it so old, HoMM3 has numerous like WOG and HoTA that are hard to find if you don't know about the Heroes Community forums.
It's a shame I can't find it all in one place.

I'm not arguing that it wouldn't be a great thing, but the key is what I've bolded. This idea was brought up to GOG before and if memory serves, the basic of it is they'd have too many people asking for support if they provided fan fixes/mods on the game page no matter if they had a disclaimer about it or not.

*edit* There's also the issue of bandwidth etc.
