This weekend we're giving you the chance to play The Longest Journey and Sanitarium - two from among the best adventure games ever made - for half the usual price!
Despite being almost completely different, these two games have at least two things in common. For one thing, both will see you shifting between two completely different realms. In The Longest Journey it will be between stark reality and a fantasy dream-world. In Sanitarium, on the other hand, you'll be plunged into an insane world like from a madman's nightmare, with just a few flashbacks of reality to keep you sane... Somewhat. Most importantly, though, they're both great adventure titles which you can now get 50% off, regardless of whether you buy one or both of them. If you haven't played them yet, you won't get a better chance than right now.

RPG's? The longest Journey and Sanitarium? Since when?

Well, I own Sanitarium from GOG, and I own the original disks of The Longest Journey.
However...The Longest Journey seems like such a great game at such a great price, and I have not played it yet AND I mostly play games on my netbook AND I'm not sure I want to go through all the trouble of making ISOs to install on my netbook--GOG makes is so simple (and less space-consuming). I might just bite.
Does anyone know if it works on netbooks? I checked the netbook playability thread and searched the Longest Journey Forum and got nothing.

My bad, my mind must have been elsewhere... ;)

I played through the entire game on my Dell Mini 10v. In fact, I play just about all my GOG titles on my netbook. :p
Have fun!
Awesome promo, thanks!
Have both already: Sanitarium here and TLJ elsewhere.
Easily recommend both if you do not yet have them, and have even the slightest interest in the genre.
cool, I was thinking about getting Sanitarium.
Amazing promo! Thank you GOG!
If I'm not wrong TLJ had some problems playing with nvidia cards with the latest drivers installed.
Has this problem been solved?
TLJ is an amazing value for that price, highly recommended!

Dunno, but you can easily avoid the problem by switching to software rendering.

If you are an adventure fan and don't have Sanitarium, GET IT NOW! I still have the original game (though I know it doesn't work well with XP), so I don't need to.
I don't have TLJ (I know, I know), but I will rectify that by throwing it on my backlog this weekend. :)

I think it was fixes a long time ago in the official version of the game. there was a little patch you needed to install and it worked. not sure about the GOG version. if anyone has already tried it from here, your info is highly appreciated :D

Excellent offer. Already got Sanitarium here and have TLJ on the Dreamfall SE boxset but good for those that don't have them.
Insane promo. Too bad I have both. :)
