I'm sitting at 26 giveaways entered. I don't consider it unlucky at all, though, just as I don't consider any of the stats you guys have posted are "unlucky". Why?

Statistically, in order to have a near-sure (95%) chance of having won at least one raffle with 200 contestants (most in steamgifts have way more), you'd need to enter over 500 raffles. And even then, there'd still be a 5% chance you wouldn't have won yet, plus, since most have over 200 contestants, the statistic can easily be extrapolated to 700 or even 1000 raffles.

That's the chance you're fighting against each time you enter one, so don't ever get your hopes up when you do.

I think we've started keeping track of this if only to keep the site interesting. Now it's not about losing, but seeing who can keep the streak alive longest.

I'm at 0-51 with eight still open.

I'm working on it, but I've apparently got a number of the games that have been put up so far. Mostly I've just been entering Dirt 3, Deus Ex, and Humble Indie Bundle giveaways.

now i shall make it to 200 without winning anything *activates bad luck aura

So everyone is playing games to get free games?

I have two suggestions:
1) If the games are fun then it's its own reward
2) If the games are not fun (or not something you want to play) play something else instead or go pick up empty soda cans until you can afford the game you would have otherwise won.


I hope for all your sakes that it's number 1, in which case, play the game and have fun!
