Even when I'm talking about Lara's boobies?
In truth I have no illusions about how great I am, hell I tell people at every opportunity. My problem is a simple lack of exposure. To use an analogy, you can be the best sniper alive but if you're defending a single corridor you're still not going to get many kills.
Wagga has bugger all recreation other than pubs which I'm not going anywhere near and the cinema which is hardly the place to have conversations with people so aside from cruising the library in town or at uni hoping to spot someone reading something interesting, I'm not sure what else I can do
Hmm, my good IT lecturer has a pretty good method. He's offered me a job as a casual assignment marker for his network security subject. Not a particularly fancy job and its only about a weeks work spread over 2 blocks later in the year but damn, its money and some actual experience to put on my CV so I'm looking forward to that.
I've also just applied for a job so cool that I'm actually not permitted to talk about it. I even had to lie on my dole form, first time I've ever done that.
well with official sanction anyway
Sod all chance of getting it but the sheer coolness is worth the shot

Ois: It's not your only chance. Basically, keep yourself occupied.

Words of wisdom man.
i don't know about you guys but this one cheered my day right up:
<frank> can you help me install GTA3?
<knightmare> first, shut down all programs you aren't using
frank has quit IRC. (Quit)

Frank is a fucktard lol.
I found something new that cheers me up...
We all enjoy killing things right?
I just play Oblivion for awhile and play through the Assassin's Guild (Dark Brotherhood). Always cheers me up, me being the stealth master.
I'm thinking of getting oblivion next week, its part of the new games on demand thing for the 360 but it looks like it's the standard version, not the one with the addons, would I be missing a lot?
Honestly, if it's not the PC version, don't bother. The game falls short in oh so many ways, and mods are the only way to make that up.
Also, the expansions, while I haven't played them, are generally considered to be quite essential if you're wanting to get the game.

Dude, I really think you are talking about Fallout 3, which fails to be better than Oblivion. Sure, I have the 360 version and I have yet to beat it due to a bunch of other shit, but the game is at least worth playing for about 80+ hours. That said, I did manage to make a Khajit assassin (custom class) who beat all of the Thieve's Guild and Dark Brotherhood, the Arena and most of the fighter and mage factions.
The game does a pretty good job in most ways, such as the great ambient score that I hum every now and then, and hey, the graphics are still good. Hell the gameplay is decent!
Maybe you just suck at it? =)
No, actually, I find the plot vapid, the art boring, the mechanics unintuitive, the gameplay dumbed down, the world repetitive, and on and on and on. It's quite clear what group of people Bethesda was marketing to with this game.

Well, we are all open to our own opinion. =)

Maybe but that doesnt stop the pc version from being superior if only due to all the mods available.

Yeah but I had this discussion with a mate about arma2 the other day, the gist of it was that if I have to rely on volunteers to fix a game then I'm not buying the game unless its incredibly cheap.
Speaking of incredibly cheap, the oblivion thing has been shot in the foot by the stupid pricing of the 360 games on demand anyway
