Now Here are my 3 most disappointing Games(Not worst games as some people have taken it...just disappointing)
1. Legendary
My god this game is terrible but here's the thing.....It had so much potential, with it's story line and concept which I liked but was executed poorly.Note I had the PC version and it is one of the worst Ports of all time.
2.Call of Duty:Modern Warfare 2
Yes so nice I payed $110 for a 4 hour game and an unplayable multiplayer mode. What disappointed me so much was the story is literally a rehash of the First games but with the roles reversed, So you know the American lives and the Brit Dies. I also cry foul since World at War was better then MW2 and WaW is a Treyarch game lol.
3.Bioshock
As above Some nice Visuals try to distract you away from noticing the Storyline is a rehash of System Shock 2 and that disappoints me cause Bioware are usually so good with games with you know Story Lines.Yes I was a victim of the hype on this one.
Now for the reversal Here's my Top 3 most Surprisingly good games.
3.Bioshock2
Mind you I haven't finished this yet but my god it's actually half way good and this shocked me. I may change this later depending on how the story unfolds.
2.Final Fantasy IX
Now I was blown away by this game after I was expecting a mediocre at best game. FF7 to me was pretty average since I was a large fan of the older SNES games and FF8 is an abomination of an FF game only being beaten when FF10 came out. What I loved about this game were the characters and the storyline(Especially Vivi).
1.Mafia
It took me a full year just to install this game cause like a lot of people I had bought GTA3 and I actually didn't like it's new direction yet both games came out within a month of each other and mafia fell under the radar. Yet when I installed Mafia finally I wished I had played this instead what got to me was I cared about the characters, Screw Heavy rain this game is more like a movie and sporting a better look then any of the GTA's to date. This game also became my favorite game of all time bumping my previous game Captive(lets see someone know this game :P).
In this section if your still reading lol I shall comment on a few games People didn't like and whether I agree or not.
Oblivion-This game is Mediocre.....I had to mod it to be hard and more random yet even then once you get a few items you don't feel challenged.
Fallout:3-I have to admit I'm a HUGE fan of the Fallout universe/games and you know what I loved this game and the VATS system(I never shot except in the vats mode btw)....although a few mods were needed like the VATS full damage to player and proper cripple effects.
Farcry:2-I bought this game and my god I swear almost all the content was dropped in the name of freedom. I hate the respawning enemy specially if you went down the wrong road and traveled only 100 meters up and had to re-fight them.
Spore-I have to once again admit I wasn't disappointed with this since it is maxis we are talking about and expected only half the game. Did no-one earn from the sims? Speaking of
Sims:3-Yes this game may as well have been called an easier and prettier looking version Sims2
HalfLife:2-I don't know if people realize but the single player campaign is nothing more then a sandbox for the player to try out what the engine can do. So yes that means I thought it was good for what it was but nothing really special Story wise(you know one of the important parts of a game apart from Gameplay)
Doom:3-Another Mediocre game raised like some sort of Trophy Wife cause it looked pretty
Halo Series-As some have said....this game is nothing new and never was....I don't hate it but don't like it either since it has no soul but no real faults(unless you count the fan boys)
GTA3/4-Well I never really hated these games except GTA:4 but Vice city was actually half way decent as I though of it more as a Scareface game(btw Scarface game was pretty terrible bug filled mess of a game) but the others were just boring especially the RPG system they added which was entirely unnecessary.I will add though I loved listening into the Joke stations in every game and GTA4 had those great tv shows/Radio stations
