amok: Can I just add - I like the forum title, it seem like it is complaining that there is no DRM on Trine 2 :)
Oh yes, all these DRM-Free games, what a bore! ;-)
Seriously, I guess I wanted to make the title shorter, and I didn't notice I cancelled the word "free"... my bad.

Phaidox: Here's the latest statement from Frozenbyte:

"We are currently preparing for a big patch for base game and Goblin Menace (internally known as "Megapatch"). I haven't discussed this with powers that be, but it would make sense to release DRM free version pretty soon after that, since we probably won't be patching much after that."

If this "complete edition" is what they had in mind, then chances are, the DRM free version for all who bought Trine 2 directly from the developers will follow pretty soon.
This is precious info, thank you for sharing.
Steam is doing a big sale on the new Complete Edition today, but I'll refrain from buying it, just in case it's a sign that the game is coming to GOG next week. Whenever GOG releases, or is about to release, a title already on Steam, Steam counterattacks with a sale. Guess GOG should take this as a compliment, in a way... :-p

Immoli: Both GOG and Humble Bundle don't really care about DRM when it comes to multiplayer.

Does Trine 2 still have local play? If so I don't really see it being a huge issue.
According to the Steam page, there is local co-op on Trine 2. So we're good. Come on, GOG, giant snails want their salad!
...play the demo if this last sentence makes no sense to you... ;-)

Hm, chaos, anarchy and turbulance, again? Could it be Trine 2 they hinted?
Damn you G-Doc and your vague hints...
