Computer and game prices from a BestBuy flyer in 1996

Seems Apple desktop prices haven't changed in in 16 years. At least back then their machines sported top of the line tech unlike today.
Haha, cool, thanks for posting.

I remember when we actually used to get sports games on PC. And Mega Man X! That game was actually a pretty decent port.
VHS tapes listed with Braveheart, still selling the Megadrive (Genesis) and games, huge 27" TV's

I suddenly feel very old!

Mind you I remember going to Chips in Stockton every Saturday morning and buying a game on tape for the C64 for £2 or £3 depending on the title, if I wanted a new release which was usually £9.99 had to save up for a few weeks. Those were the days!!!
Hexen!
166MHZ pc wow think my mobile has more processing power.

Nice to see some old classic games there.

That could actually work as a pretty awesome GOG promo. Simply take an old flyer and replaces the games with GOG games and prices.

And VHS, man, I certainly won't miss this ... (And I had about 100+ tapes)
Ah the memories. Back then I didn't have a local best buy, but did have an egghead software!
lol - 16MB memory upgrade. Hehe, that's bringing back some memories!
Darn, games were cheap across the pond back then. When looking through an old magazine from 1994 new PC games were in the 500-800sek price range. Nowadays new PC games are in the 400-500 price range (and in a PC gamer from 1997 the prices for new PC games were around 500-550sek).
10sek~1€.
man, was a small child back then. I didn't grow up with games like syndicate or fallout or even Half Life. Our PC couldn't handle that stuff. I grew up with the N64 and the Playstation. Games like Rayman, Mario 64 and Tony Hawk Pro Skater 2.
