Well, simply really :) i recently discovered gog, and I love it..
have already bought several games while the anniversary was on.. now i miss alot of other games, not necessarily certain games, just new games :) and luckily there is a "upcoming games" tab under availability while browsing the games catalogue. but the past two weeks i have been here, there has been no games on the list.
there could be several reasons :)
1. All games are presented as a "surprise"
2. Somebody forgot to update upcoming games.
3. Nobody is working b/c "insert reason here"
4. I would know if i had been here for more than two weeks :P
I'm very sorry if I'm wasting space and time with this question, but I'm kinda eager to see more games :) and there seems to be very little info.

The coming soon list has always been a bit weird. Many games have never shown up there and a few games had been on there for months before release
I think the coming soon function itself is a coming soon feature

Well, the GOG guys said that they have some publisher announcements this September... so consider this month as a surprise. ;)

There have been a few issues with presenting games as upcoming, then running into problems actually releasing them, mostly because testing revealed considerable problems getting the games to play correctly on modern operating systems (Earth 2160 springs to mind).
As such, some games have been staying in the upcoming sections for weeks and months while fans of the game wait and periodically bug about the status of the game.
Lately there's been more of a tendency to announce new deals, keep 2-3 games in the upcoming section for a couple of weeks, then keep the section empty until a new deal is announced.

The upcoming games list usually only lists games they've already announced. Such as when they announce a new publisher, they'll announce all the games they've signed in one go and add games to the Upcoming list accordingly. One off games tend not to make the list.

SpellForce 2 seems to be 2006-ish going by the copyright on the CD version I have. Would be nice if it turned up here though. As that would hopefully mean 2 things:
One, no longer needing to rely on Steam
Two, hopefully bugs that still affect the Steam version being fixed
But I always assumed the Coming Soon list was more of a list of games that GOG want to release and have permission to release, but for which a problem has been found preventing them from releasing (such as bugs).
Games that tend to be ready for release, are done so without much in the way of advanced notice.

No more so than Earth 2160, as far as I know.

I wish, but no. It's just that Spellforce 2 is the only game I remember to have been on the "Upcoming Games" list, and would still be if that list was still around.

But unless I missed seeing it, spellforce 2 isn't here

Ah, I see. Well hopefully they just removed the list rather than pulled the game.

Apparently it was briefly on the Upcoming list. Whether that means the game has been pulled, or just the list is the mystery.
