I am looking for games that are of the space/sci fi theme and management/strategy. Not necessarily of the pure 4X.
Utopia is a good example, even the recently released Space Colony HD. Fragile Allegiance is another,and of course there was that game by Microsoft that I can't remember the title now which was apparently terrible.

So, what other similar games are there, if any?

There is also Space Bucks, which I have on disc but last time I tried to run it a couple of years ago wouldn't even install. I think it uses 16bit installer.

Galactic Civilisations?

Management:
The X-series. You get to manage a galactic trade empire. There is also some flying around and shooting at stuff.

Galactic Civilizations has already been mentioned; so I second that. (Don't forget there's GalCiv I and GalCiv II.)

What about Space Rangers? Doesn't really fit into 1 specific category, but it's fun.

X Series is more like a flight sim though, which I love, but not what I am looking for.

Same for the Gal Civ games, they are 4X, not so much management games.

Outpost is definitely similar. Although from what I remember the game is pretty bad/buggy and no one sells it any more.

I fail to see how Eve Online is like the games I mentioned, but ok thanks for your input.

Startopia is a good game, but it is nothing like Utopia. :)

Ugh i was afraid it would be about that new tv show utopia, where people have to build a "civilization", from the makers of big brother, beware people it will come to a country near you.
