Hey guys, just wanted to spread the world about a new indie game called Vessel. I've just finished the demo and purchased the game immediately upon completion. It's a 2D puzzle platformer with a steampunk vibe, liquid physics, a piano-driven soundtrack, minion puzzles and some beautiful 2D/3D combination graphics. If you want to try it, you can get the demo on Steam.

But wait, you don't need Steam in order to buy! In an awesome move (that frankly should happen every time an indie game comes out), the developers are selling it on their website, which not only nets you a DRM-FREE download, but a Steam code as well. It's also 10% off on launch week!

I'm sorry if this post is a little PSA-ish, but I am just very impressed with the game itself and I really support the business model.

Website - With ability to purchase (a DRM-free download AND Steam code) and a gameplay video (sponsored by the Humble Bundle)
Steam Page - With ability to purchase (Steam only) and a demo

Check it out!

Your wish may very well be granted; I think it's a glimpse of what we can expect in the future from Wolfire's Humble Store. And if I'm right about this, it will be a bright future indeed. :)
It's a pity it doesn't come with a Desura code as well, but of course that does tend to result in people who treat it as getting an extra copy to give away :(

I just bought it :D

I'm about halfway through and am loving the puzzle design, there is some really clever stuff packed in, and nothing is obtuse to the point of tearing your hair out. I like to put it down, walk away and come back a few hours later.

Looks interesting, the price seems a bit steep though.
Especially the Steam price...

It also reminded me of this: Vessels
Quick question for those who are have played the game:

I'm about to finish the factory, but I missed a protoplasm. Once I'm done with the factory will I be able to return later?

Yes! You will return to your workshop upon completion. After that you can re-enter the factory and, if you pause the game, you can access all the puzzles from the menu to warp right to where you are trying to go.
Cool, thanks. It's good when games are designed that way - no need to stress about perfection.
