Freespace 1,2 or Sanitarium
If you like horror and adventure games then you can't go wrong with Sanitarium. It's pretty damn good. I haven't played Freespace, but I've seen Freespace 2 get a lot of praise.
Apples... or oranges?

I don't like Sanitarium, so... Freespace 2. Why Freespace 2 and not 1? Because if you install FreeSpace Open you can play the FreeSpace Port-Mod, which is a port of the Freespace 1-campaign ;)

FreeSpace Open is a must have. It improves the graphics and allows a lot of modifications and campaigns, for example The Babylon Project.
I'm not a fan of any parts of the genre that freespace sits in, so I can't help there. But, as an adventure gamer... few if any rival the outstanding story of Sanitarium. It was a blast to play. Highly recommend for any adventure game fans.

I'm not quite happy with the voice acting in that clip, but how does the rest of the game compare to B5: IFH?

I really enjoyed Sanitarium and it's story. I own the disc and bought it not too long ago on here, that's how good it is (for me anyway). It does feel very short if you can solve the puzzles and such with ease.

As for freespace, it's not my thing. I've never played it and I really don't enjoying games where I pilot anything. You shoulda heard me piloting the copters in Saints row 1&2 -.-

I'm in doubt because I love Elite,Wing Commander 3 and 4 and TIE Fighter,so Freespace maybe worth a try.
and I love horror adventure games(and Sanitarium seems like an B horror movie, which I love).I also liked GK,and others adventure games.
this is my doubt
As an adventure lover I really didn't like Sanitarium that much. The plot and the design get too gimmicky towards the end and not in the good way IMO.

The game does have interesting premesis, but in the end it did fell flat for me.

Uhm... I don't know. I haven't played IFH.

You can't really talk about "the game". There's a lot of user-made stuff. It's a mod with it's own mods and campaigns... All this together has it's ups and downs. The flying is as in Freespace 2. Your shields aren't really strong and the missiles are strange. Oh! And sometimes there are way too many capital ships... But Babylon 5 never really was about tiny fighters, so that's ok ;)

Just give it a try, if you're a fan of B5. It gave me the feeling of the bigger battles from Season 3 and 4.
SANITARIUM

"Mother's comin', mother's comin'!" :D

oh, I love that game...
