If your a Playstation gamer, then what is your favorite Playstation console?

PS2 is a near perfect console in every sense of the word. Fully backwards compatible, games different enough from PC games, useful secondary functions (worked fine as a DVD-player) etc.

Easy to patch with custom firmware so you can get a big memory stick and place all your UMDs along with homebrew on it to run anywhere. Add in TV out and you have a nice all around portable machine.

Hardware wise the Vita, it's a serious piece of tech with lots of flexibility that Sony is majorly f*cking up. Granted it hasn't sold too well but their support of it is utterly pitiful and genuine releases are a trickle with high quality games being even rarer. It's heart breaking to see such an impressive device consigned to mini and indie games that are the kind of thing I can get on my phone or pc cheaper, especially when it was marketed as a serious games console.

Games wise probably the Playstation 2 if only for it's stunning j-rpg collection

PS2. I still remember the day I got mine :') and the day it got disc read errors. and the day my replacement got smashed by my brother. Good times.
