PikaCommando: I played Blood 2 halfway (and I don't think I will touch it ever again) and the Daikatana demo (because I'm too poor to afford games I won't touch after playing it a few times).

It really pisses me off that people say Duke Nukem Forever is the worst when these 2 games exist. My reasons for hating these games are already mentioned by previous posts, but I'll add in Blood 2's 'shake-off-nuisance-enemy-then-latches-onto-you-again" just in case. Wait, did I just say I have more reasons to hate Blood 2 than Daikatana? But then the reasons to hate Daikatana are pretty severe too.... Hmmmm........

EDIT: Which reminds me, what's so bad about the name 'Superfly Johnson'?
Dude, Duke Nukem Forever isn't even bad. I have played through it twice and loved every minute of it. Well I thought so atleast. :P

On topic: I would say Blood 2. Daikatana is a buggy mess but the idea of the game was solid. I quite enjoyed some of the later parts of the game.
Blood 2 is terribly disappointing and boring game after the first one, that was atmospheric and well done FPS game. Daikatana I've experienced only through demo and have no real interest of trying further.
I would say Blood 2. I played two thirds of the game with a feeling that everything was rushed, buggy and quite hollow. Now the atmosphere (on its own), some scenes, and the basic premise are great fun though, but I just forgot about it being installed at one point - comparing it to Blood doesn't help. The devs apparently didn't have enough time or money to finish it and it shows. Plus, it's just quite a basic old-school FPS. Play it with the Extra-Crispy mod to enhance the gameplay and make it a bit closer to the first one, it won't make anything for the broken story but it's much more enjoyable this way!

Daikatana on the other hand is mostly hampered by its buddy AI/deaths and a not-so-fun first world. I found that once you get used to the flaws of your companions (great in open areas, real pain indoors), and as soon as you arrive in Greece, you can enjoy a tighter gameplay (than Blood 2) and quite a lot of fun ideas (even if the difficulty is oddly balanced). The story is cheesy but it's intended, so yeah, I really enjoyed this one after a bit, and it did try to implement new things for its time.
