Prator: GOG has been in operation for over a year now. It's customers number at least 5000 (judging by the wishlist; I'd assume it's more than that if you count the people who aren't active in the community and especially the people who come here to buy Fallout), and there are over a hundred titles in its catalogue. Admittedly, this place doesn't look like it's going to become a multi-billion dollar corporation at any time in the near future, but I am curious as to why the GOG headers still say "beta."
When they opened their doors to us elite beat agents, we were told they intend to keep the site in beta to follow "web 2.0" faggo- I mean, standards. They said that if they do well they might knock it down to a year. I'm guessing at the start of the next financial quarter they will remove the beta sticker. Although like I said previously, I am thinking the navigation could be a little cleared up. The constant search box for games has come in handy, but I will see it and forget about the second search box for searching the forums. And that bothers me.
But I think the main reason why they're still in beta isn't because of any financial worry, but because they want a larger catalogue.
