You thought that pirates just stick ripped games into net? Wrong, sometimes they do very bizarre stuff to the games, as is presented in this little piece intorducing pirated games from Nairobi.

And yes, I'd be willing to give Grand Theft Auto SA: Kirk Douglas a try.
I remember some Super Mario Hacks that tried to offer a very very very high level of difficulty to the player. Many people used them as a "benchmark" of who's a really good player.
Even though I'm seriously anti-piracy I'd love to give give those games a try...the big companies should release their source code like Maxis did with Simcity or at least the software they made the games with, so legal mods of older games could be made.

Reminds me of the pirate NES games CrashmanEXE used to post on youtube. His channel seems to be closed now though. =(
When I was in Georgia I loved going into all the pirate shops and see what covers and shit they came up with for the games. Most of them were PC gamer covers.

This one? It's the very first Let's Play like thing I ever watched.
That's Terrible!
Some nes hacks were amazing :D I recall especially some pretty fun Bomberman hacks where you could go through walls...
And there is a followup to that one, showing more of the beautiful art from these pirates:

Really dig the Master of the Universe / Geralt cover. Though GTA with Sonic and Mario is a good runner up.

I quite like The Sims Castaway. While clearly showing The Sims, it fails to show the right "The Sims".
And the disappointed looking kid on Tony Hawk's Underground 2 is also a nice one.

*edit*
and not to mention Grand Theft Auto: Hussein Al Jasmi, which look like they tried to combine two things that just can't be combined properly.

Can't beat the male Carmen Santiago though :P
When I was on the Philippines, on a mall they had a shop where, in order to buy games, they would show you a catalague of games they had available and, when you chose one, they would burn it for you on a DVD on the spot. Now, piracy is very widespread on my native Basque Country, but I had never seen anything as obvious as that..
