Spotted the alpha advertised through GG flipping main page banner.
So far I see decapitations, severed limbs, blood loss and full limping support.
Is it anything like Mount and Blade?

Never heard of it. But you got me at "svered limbs". It certainly looks like a post nuclear Mount and Blade...
Was wandering that myself i had a llook and thought ok its cheap but an alpha version hhmmm if it was a beta version i might have bought it.
I'm holding out, because if anything makes it into the Indie Royale Alpha bundle, it'll be this.

Still looks very cool.
reminds me of overgrowth, especially the damage system.

Smells like a bad copy to be honest.
it's an open world (single player) squad based sandbox set in a semi-samurai type world.

.... but it talks about robotic limbs if you get one of your natural ones cut off.

I make a point of it being single player because from allot of the screen shots and the trailer it looks kinda MMO, but it's not.

*edit* yeah, some of it does look kinda overgrowth-ish but the actual gameplay is abso-fuckin-loutly not: it's squad based, though I'm not sure if it's real time or turn based.

I've been meaning to pick it up myself, probably gonna get it off of the games main site though as it's $11.00 on GG but $9.99 direct from the devs.

for the record:

RPS had a preview of it some time ago.

I'm normally more tolerant towards indie games than AAA titles, but from Youtube videos, the alpha looks boring. Maybe it'll get better eventually, but right now, it doesn't look promising.

From videos I've seen, you don't take direct control of moves in a fight. You just click an action on the interface and watch your character finish the job.

Oh so it's something RPG-ish? that's different then.
in about the same way that a MMO is RPG-ish.

it's got levels and stuff, mixed with a stat system of some kind, but as far as quests ... your only quest is to go do whatever the hell you want to do and not get killed while your at it.

you can even build your own towns and shit.

*shrug* not to turn anyone off or anything, just being honest from what I know, it seems like a cool little game that is very much so not for everyone since it combines multiple niche generas.
This is available on Desura as alphafunding quite some time ago.

You can try the demo:

Yeah, and I predict we'll see it in Indie Royale Alpha Fund Bundle.

Do you think the game has potential?
I mean right now it's still in alpha, as far as i know not all game can come out from alpha to final release in short time. Not to mention if the game didn't well received by the community.

I really have no idea. I discovered this game when I tried to find what Indie RPGs are in development.

This one looks really interesting, even though I'm not really into orient themes.

I won't pay 10 or 8 bucks for it now, but I will buy it in Alpha Fund bundle.
Well I have tried it.

Its alpha for a reason. IMO leave it for 6 months and try again, it is verging on unplayable, you pick up 1 item and the game gives you something completely different, I had no sound the view needs a lot of work, characters are very block like and it is not the easiest to control yet.

That said it is in alpha, it has potential in spades but will it deliver... I dont know, I hope so though.

Actually, it's been in development longer than Overgrowth, it's at least a couple of years old afair.

I always thought it was a bit too ambitious to deliver all it promised, but I wish it all the best. And yes, I believe it was heavily inspired by M&B.
