To me the best is Peter Jackson's King Kong for Xbox 360

Pirates of the Caribbean, PC
X men Origins Wolverine
Goldeneye
That's not really based on the movie, it's just Sea Dogs 2 with a Pirates of the Caribbean themed translation into English.

In any case, mine would have to be Spiderman 2. The only Spiderman game to get the web swinging right.

I know. >:)
But it has the Black Pearl, Barbossa is the captain, and Keira Knightley has a line in the game (although brief and of questionable worth). Also, there are loads of props from the movies - the swords and skull, the cursed gold coins, said black ship and background... it's a cock tease and it can't be waived as unimportant, although it obviously can't be considered canon (unless Barbossa traveled a dimension or two and didn't explain this to Sparrow).

Indiana Jones and the Fate of Atlantis, or failing that, Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade (depending on how strictly you define "movie-based").
The LEGO Star Wars and Indiana Jones games are awesome.
I played the heck out of Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade as a kid, so that, for nostalgia reasons.
Can't believe no one mentioned Spider Man 2 yet, they've made plenty of not movie-based games since then and none was as good as that.

Cheating here and saying another: The Warriors, the game has 20 missions and only the last 3 or so correspond to the events of the movie, the rest was all backstory; both that and the amount of additional characterization given really shows how the developers went the extra mile. Actually, I'd say one of the flaws with the game came by staying as faithful as they did in the movie missions.

Probably Blade Runner.
I´m with the people that said "Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade"
Spider Man 2 - despite the utterly phoned in voice acting and the plot that mostly revolved around Spider Man's complete inability to keep track of time, it was the definitely the best implementation of that great web swinging mechanic.
How in gods name has no one said The Chronicles of Riddick: Escape from Butcher Bay/Assault on Dark Athena Its the greatest stealth action movie game that's ever been released... I had more fun playing those 2 games then my entire gaming carrier... which started with Atari 2600... and goes to Modern Day Games on most platforms...

Riddick is beyond comparison, the voice acting the mood, the story; its fundamentally perfect in every way a game can be...

Call me crazy, but my Xbox 360 came with Kung Fu Panda when I bought. Love that silly little game.
