Hello, my friends and I started playing the regular Neverwinter Nights 1 campaign after many days trying to find some way to get connected to each other. The first time we tried everything was fine until the game crashed but when we tried to re-connect I am unable to join with any character I make due to an 'Invalid Feat'.

I suspect it's the Horse Mount ability because I can load a pre-generated character (which I don't want to play, I'd rather play a character I made myself) and they don't have the Horse Mount Feat. It's only new characters I make and I can't remove the feat from the list when making a new char as it is greyed out.

Is there any way I can make a new character without the Mount Feat so I can load my own made characters in my friend's game? Or am I doomed to only play pre-generated characters?

Horse riding was added to NWN with the 1.69 patch. It sounds like your friend doesn't have it. Assuming they have SoU and HotU, tell them to install the 1.69 patch and you should not get an invalid feat error.
