After downloading the game, every attempt to install the game has ended with the message : Installation failed: disc access problem. Any help would be appreciated. Sent message to GOG 4 days ago, no reply. PLEASE keep in mind that I am an old fart who doesn't understand many computer terms and reply in simple terms thanks much.

1. Ensure that you have sufficient disk space on the drive you are installing to.
2. Place all downloaded files into C:\Downloads (Create the folder if necessary)
3. Double click on the downloaded .exe file to initiate installation.
4. At installation, choose to do a custom install and set the path to <drive>:\Games\

The important thing to grasp is that you do NOT install to 'Program Files' or 'Program Files (x86)', since those are protected folder structures. Step 4 is very important.

In the event that you are running any of the following versions of windows:

Vista
Windows 7
Windows 8

To run the install program properly, you will need to RIGHT CLICK on the install .EXE file and RUN AS ADMINISTRATOR.

When I right click on the install button nothing happens. i can't control the Install. The only otion given is to click on the green install button. Right clicking does nothing. I am using the GOG installer. I couldn't see any other option. After I purchased the game I saw no way to install it other than that. Looked all over for an install option before downloading the GOG installer but couldn't see anything

What operating system are you running? Windows? MAC? Linux? Do you know what version you are running?

Do you mean the Galaxy installer? Galaxy is NOT GOG. GOG is the company whose website and forums you are using; the company who you bought the game from. The game client/manager is called Galaxy.

Galaxy has issues, especially for beginners or those not savvy. I suggest that you completely uninstall Galaxy, unless you intend to play online, or are especially interested in achievements, otherwise there is no point using it. You can uninstall it from Control Panel. Then you need to download the game manually from your game shelf. Once you have done that, double click on the installer and follow the prompts.

How do you download it from your game shelf??????? I looked everywhere on there for some button to push and could not find one. Thats why I downloaded Galaxy, I figured you must have to use it. I just went back to gogs screen. When you click on your game there, it takes you to a screen that has 2 buttons. Try GoG Galaxy and More. More doesn't have an option to install that I can see as well as no place else on the page, as far as I can see.
As a matter of fact, how do you PLAY from the library screen without Galaxy. I just went and looked at that too.

Underneath where it says 'Try GOG Galaxy' and 'More' you will see 'Game Downloads' and then 3 links:

You do not play the games from the library. When you install the game manually, the installer will create a shortcut on your desktop, which you use to start the game.
