Hi there !

I'd like to know if there any particular reason for NWN2 Complete never being on sale, I'm waiting since this summer to buy it that way.
It can appear a little skinflint, but I already paied for that game the day of its first release, collector pack, and today it is a real mess to install it and update it correctly from an 1.0 box version. The first advice given on forums about that problem is "Don't mess with your mental health, buy the GOG version when on sale" :D

According to isthereanydeal.com, the last times it was discounted were March '21 and September '20 (both for about 50%). In 2020 it was discounted several times throughout the year, in 2021 only once so far. No idea why. Maybe you're lucky and it will be discounted during the holidays at the end of December? (Though last year apparently it wasn't.)

My wild guess would be that it has something to do with the publisher. I am looking to get Nwn2 but also Icewind dale 2 which has the same publisher. And if you check all the games from it - none is on sale. And both Icewind dale 2 and Nwn 2 have been on sale at exactly the same times in the past !

Thanks for the responses ! I also supposed there was some publishing problems, just the fact that it never was released on Steam, unlike NWN1 and NWN online. I just thought it would be on sale more often.

I think it was on Steam in the past, but got removed at some point. No idea why GOG still has a deal to sell it while Steam does not. Pretty rare case, too, usually it's the other way around.

Probably there are agreements signed. No one knows (apart from GOG) what will happen when they expire (and if they expire at all). This was probably one of the reasons why GOG still had Soul Reaver 1 in offer for a long time after it was removed from Steam. I do hope that NWN2 remains on offer. It would be a sad thing if it was removed some day.
