Do they not work anymore? Trying to recreate a char from my pen-n-paper days...

I R-click on an intended target char,
hit the TILDE key and the top ha;f of the screen gets an opague white "cover"

Type in DebugMode 1
get told a request has been sent to the server

then type

SetSTR 17

the game retype SetSTR

but the char sheet does not show a STR of 17.

I tried to test dm_givegold 500

and that drew a prompt to type "commands" for eligible command prompts.

The SetXXX shows for each stat,but nothing seems to work. A space between the command and the value, doesnt work. Putting the value inside (), or {}, or [], 0r <>, none of those work. SetXXX17 w/o the space, does not work.

The entire time, my selected characters portrait, is displayed in the upper middle of the screen, under the opague portion. (left of center actually)

Am I entering the command improperly, or have the commands changed, or has the game been rendered immune to console commands?

It also appears that multiplayer is dead now for NWN 2, is that correct? The MULTIPLAYER button on the menu, takes you to register/sign into bioware NWN2 forums, and those have been offline for a few years now.
