Hi, everyone . So, I'm about to finish the Original Campaign of Neverwinter Nights 1, and I want to play the expansions. So I was wondering if it would be worth it to import my Paladin into SotU and HotU. I know some people start over with a completely new character, since he starts as an apprentice again in SotU. How would my level 16 Paladin with really good gear find these campaigns? I want him to take some levels of Red Dragon Disciple when he gets to HotU and he'll be able to do that sooner if he starts at a higher level. I just love playing through a series with the same character or party.

Any advice or information would be welcome. Thanks in advance!

Original campaign: Starts at level 1(new character), goes to about level 16-17

SoU: Starts at level 1 (new character), goes to about level 13-14

HotU: Starts at level ~15 (import character), goes to about level 27-28.

Both the Original Campaign, and SoU are for new 1st level characters. Importing a high level character into either would be pointless, and completely ruin any sense of challenge.

HotU can be used to continue either the OC character (higher level more gear, less challenge) or your SoU character (lower level, less gear, more challenge), but it was designed to continue the SoU character.
My outside map in Shadows of Undrentide shows up as fully explored when I have just started the game. In the original game there was a setting to show the entire map or only the searched area. I do not see this in the settings for SOU. Can someone please tell me where to make this change?

I don't see a setting that changes that.

I believe Hilltop shows fully explored, because that's where you live, so you know that area.

Once you leave Hilltop and enter the wilderness. Then maps start out hidden.

Thank you. That makes sense.
