Could someone post a saved game from Act 1, passed where you have to fight the bloke at the gallows.
I bought this thinking it was a RPG.
I'm no good at console games & can barely see the letters flash up for fist fights, much less react to them.
After many attempts I fluked the fight with the prison guard, but can't get passed the start or Act 1.
I'd like to see a bit more of the game before I uninstall it.

In the in-game options under "Gameplay", there's an option "Difficult QTEs". Remove the tick and try again. Should make fistfights and other reaction sequences easier.

Also you don't have to read the letter, you just have to look at the position where the icon with the letter shows up on the screen. If it's at the top of the screen it's W, on the left side an A, on the right side a D and at the bottom it's S.

Did you already try to disable the "hard QTEs" flag from gameplay options? Makes fist fighting a breeze.

If you sit back from the screen and try to look at the entire picture, rather than on Geralt specifically, you should be able to see the letters popping up at the top, left, right or bottom with your peripheral vision.

Yeah, I had a problem seeing what the letters were, but knowing the position was all I needed. Fortunately, you don't need the mouse, so I had to use both hands on the WASD keys ( stupid S ). It took me a few times to get through the guard, then found out I had to do the hangman as well. I haven't even bothered with the fistfighting in the inn.

I also now have more money & better gear.
But I lost two levels, because I had leveled up twice in the two nights it took me to figure out the Ballista.
After many goes last night I did manage to beat the first one, only to find I couldn't save before getting killed by the executioner.
I was nearly ready to throw in the towel.

No problem. Yeah, the money is weird; it's too much. I didn't notice it until I got to Flotsam. Sorry about your levels - swings and roundabouts, eh? Just remembered it's on hard so you might want to change the difficulty before you head out into the forest.
