I have no mods in have never been able to get past this part of the game.

Win 7
HD7870 2gb
AMD Phenom II X4 3.2ghz
12GB Ram
Latest drivers for GFX card.

I have also turned my GFX down to low as well that doesn't work.

If I don't get to finish this game i will never buy another Witcher.

Or try also this -
1. Change the active quest to Blood Curse.
2. Save game.
3. Meditate until evening.
If it doesn't work yet, try loading that saved game.

Will give it a shot.

Edit:

That did the trick all working again.

If you have this problem the main thing is not to do any other quests until it is complete or you get the black screen.
