I just cannot get the Witcher 2 to run with Crossfire. I've tried custom profiles, registry hacks and all sorts cribbed from old posts around the web. I'm running the latest stable ATI drivers (Catalyst 14.12), Windows 8.1 and two HD7950's. Can I ask other's what their experience of the Witcher 2 with crossfire is now, is it stable for you, what hoops did you have to jump through to make it work?

It runs for less than a minute or so depending on the present scene (as soon as I move the camera with the nilfgardian spirit and all the flames). It's run for about 10 minutes tops once but then blue screened the PC, with VIDEO_TDR_FAILURE atikmpag.sys. The registry hacks i've tried were around tdr settings, but if anything they made it worse.

The game is absolutely fine if I disable crossfire, either by running it windowed mode or turning it off via a profile in CCC. Other games have been fine crossfire enabled, notably in terms of hours played, Dragon Age Inquistiion... so it's not hardware. I've only recently moved to e crossfire setup, my first play through of the Witcher 2 when it launched was on just one of these cards.
