Has anyone managed to loot the items from the Arachas? I know it has items because the search box with the items pops up for a split second before the cutscene with the Elf leader begins.

The problem is that the loot disappears after the cutscene, and I can't grab the items fast enough before the cutscene starts!

The loot doesn't disappear, but the cutscene does move you. Look around the little clearing, you'll find it.

choose to stay during the conversation, then you can go loot it.

Corpse disappeared on me. I lingered after cut scene to "do some things."

Had to load Autosave and kill it again. Corpse was there second time.

if you are quick you can loot before the cutscene, I choose to stay and spent 5 mins looking for it. For me the medallion wouldn't find it, but I managed to stumble upon it in the end.

FYI, the corpse disappears after you reload the game. You have a split second to loot the corpse after killing it though.

Also, if you stay, i think you find a sword of Kaer Morhen (silver) somewhere around (though I'm not exactly sure). Should be better than regular witcher silver sword and robust witcher silver sword.

I just redid the fight till I was able to loot it, I tried looking round first but could not find the corpse
might have been there but only took about 4 goes till I looted it

I have the same issue. And you can't get to the Arachas before then. :(

Like the second post in this thread says you get moved for the cutscene

Just look around and you'll get your stuff...in my case it was quite a way from where the cutscene left me!

I've gotten in the habit of remembering where I killed it. Auto-loot would be nice for this fight.

You can loot 2-3 Arachas in chapter 3

You either have to loot it within the few seconds you have before the cutscene starts, or find the corpse afterwards by choosing to "take care of a few things". If you reload your autosave, the corpse will disappear. You'll also be able to loot the Elf's hideout which is in a cave nearby. There is also a sword of Kaer Morhen on a skeleton lyning between two rocky outcrops north of the hideout. L00tz

Actually, I think the problem is with time spent in conversation. I saved before Arachas, didn't get the loot before cutscene, corpse disappeared. Loaded, failed to get loot again, but rightclicked through conversation this time and found the loot this time.

The corpse doesn't actually disappear, but it does turn into the small, generic "dead monster" pile of bones and goo after a short time. This makes it very hard to find. Use Geralt's medallion (default: Z key) to make the remains glow orange for a short time to help you find them.
