Ok, I feel like maybe I'm crazy here, but hear me out.

I bought and played this game on release, and I swear that when the game first came out and you imported a saved game from The Witcher 1 it gave you a summary as to what choices were being imported. I also remember that if you started a new game, without importing, it gave you the choice of one of three rough paths through The Witcher 1 as background for your new game.

This doesn't happen anymore. If I import a saved game it just imports and proceeds, no summary or anything. If I start a new game I no longer get that choice.

Am I misremembering or did they actually change this functionality since release?

You're misremembering. I just installed version 1.0 from a backup and it doesn't do either of those things.
