I just beat the Kayran, and I'm trying to craft the carapace armor.

I have all the components, and the diagram, but when I go to any of the crafters, the armor doesn't show up in the menu as an option for crafting.

This is the first item I've tried to craft; am I just missing something obvious?

The list scrolls, are you sure it's not listed there as an option? You're certain you have the formula?

Even if you don't have the components the option should show up. You can click on it, components fill trays, and even shows you what components you may be lacking.

Crafting the Kayran armor is useless. You can buy/or find much better armor in Act II.

Depends on how far you are in Act I. I typically kill Kayran in the beginning-middle part of Act I so it is a pretty decent upgrade. I think it is probably the 2nd best armor in Act I.
