So i was running around Flotsam on my second play through and decided to do some of the odd ball stuff that is not relevant to the plot. I am doing the dice quest and have worked my way through a few players, but seriously guys WTF. I have to initiate full dialog, navigate the dialog tree just to play another game of dice with the same opponent?

I hope this is a setting if not a setting an oversite slated to be fixed, but you can not seriously consider leaving it like this. It takes all the fun out of dice, and while i agree it can be skipped why would you design it in such a manner unless this is yet another console requirement that as a PC gamer i have to endure.

This issue is but one of The Witcher 2's many minute-yet-aggravating steps backward from The Witcher (other examples being numerous changes to the alchemy system).

I just felt like saying, for whatever its worth, that I agree with you: It's absolutely inexcusable that there are not "Roll another round" and "Leave game" options at the end of each round of dice.
I agree with this ..

A single game to decide who's "better" is more than a little silly.
Ok, sure .. people got a little annoyed with the dice game in TW1, but more so due to the computer cheating than the length of the games.

Personally, I can't stand playing dice anymore.
Did the computer cheat in TW1? My main annoyance was that they were too stupid to play the game, throwing the game by breaking up good sets. It's quite a bit tougher now.

On the whole, I like the dice game less in TW2, though. There are lots of little things that annoy me about it, and there's no real reason to play the dice game. I'm not really a fan of dice gambling games anyway, and if I was, I've got some friends who'd love to play them with me. So the dice game is easy for me to skip.

In original TW1, the computer played poorly and did things like break up sets. In EE, the bugs were fixed, and the outcome was made partly skill-dependent (notice how many times pros and sharpers will pull off great second rolls on you).

I think stuff ike dice, arm wrestling, fighting, fucking and drinking are period activities, there is no Inet for a diversion. It was an optional part of TWEE and still is in TW2, my only complaint is that i have to reinitiate the FULL DIALOG tree to get another game. I think this is yet another hidden effect of the consolization of the game.

I never noticed the game cheating at dice in TWEE but then i was pretty good at it anyway. I only really used dice for the quests and when i needed a few more orens for a book or something and i was in between respawns of plants or monsters. A quick simple way to make a few orens instead of sleeping for a few days to recatch the respawn cycle.

While misery does love company this is not the case but i am glad that i am not the only one who thinks this is annoying and for the most part breaks these activities or renders them severely annoying.
