i am glad tw2 is available for linux, and i know that just ubuntu and mint are officially supported.
still i think, the problems i encounter are not due to the setup of my system.
i run an archlinux (kernel 3.17.2) and use bumblebee/optirun to start tw2. my machine is fairly up to date, so it should not be hardware shortage in any kind (i7 processor, loads of ram, game on ssd).
that said. i'll describe my problem.
after starting tw2 version 1.0.0.4, i was able to play tutorial and prologue until the film sequence animating the voyage to flotsam. there the game repeatedly crashed. after a few (~10) retrys i got over this and arrived in flotsam.
now i am in flotsam and the game crashes constantly. even loading a savegame results in crash, so the game is totally unplayable to me.
i will record the output and make it available via paste service.

i friend of mine suggested the cause to be umlauts (ä,ö,ü), since i play in german. could not test it yet.
sadly, customer support seems not too important here.
